ALERT!!!

There has been a change to the pickup dates.  Due to differences with the fruit delivery, there will now be two pickup nights,

Pickup for greenery is scheduled for Tuesday, November 25th.

We will only have greenery available on this date.  You must pick up your items between 6:00pm and 8:00pm.  If you have other commitments this evening, you will need to make arrangements for someone else to pick up your items.  We are unable to hold items for anybody.

Pickup for fruit is scheduled for Thursday, December 4th.

Here are some fruit & greenery forms sales form for our fundraiser this year. Feel free to use these forms or the ones that were handed out at the meeting.

Don’t forget to bring your sales sheets with you to the troop meetings.

The greenery order sheet that was passed out at the meeting Monday Sept. 29th lists a product in the first column that we are NOT selling this year. Please cross out the first column (labeled H) on your greenery order sheet.

Get out and start selling your fruit and greenery this week… and don’t forget to wear your scout uniform!

Kickoff for the Fruit & Greenery and Popcorn sales will happen during the regular troop meeting on Monday, September 29th. Scouts and Parents – please plan to attend the meeting for all of the sales details and to pickup your sales packets. This is the best way to earn your fees for future campouts! We are aiming for 100% participation this year.

Dear Parents and Adult Leaders,

I hope that you and your son are enjoying the Scouting program this year and are looking forward to our Troop’s Court of Honor on April 7^th. There is an exciting program lined up to celebrate Scouts and all of their achievements.  I sincerely hope that you are able to attend to see the Scouts recognized for their efforts.

In addition to the COH program, we will have our annual Friends of Scouting presentation to ask for your support of the local Scouting program. The dues we pay each year provide the funds needed to run the unit program and pay our $24 registration fee to the National Boy Scouts of America.  These funds do not support our local Simon Kenton Council and all of the services they provide. From the flyer your son first brought home to get him into Scouting, the camps we use for activities, to the Campership program that sends underprivileged Scouts to camp, are funded by the Simon Kenton Council Friends of Scouting program. Our council spends about $150 per Scout above and beyond the yearly chartering fee we all pay.

I know that many things compete for your dollars but would ask you to seriously consider joining me in making an investment in youth development through the Friends of Scouting Campaign. Instilling Scouting principles in young people takes the support of many, and we need your support to continue equipping youth for a lifetime of challenges they will all face to ensure they are “Prepared. For Life.”

Corporate and United Way donations are more difficult to come by each year and it is important that we directly support the program that is impacting our children every day. Last year Troop 365 gave at our Court of Honor $2,543. That is $2,543 that literally changes the lives of the youth in Central Ohio through Scouting. The goal this year is to increase the number of gifts and amount raised to impact more kids.

You can make a pledge at the presentation and pay it whenever and however you want in 2014 or write a check and make a donation that night.  All Friends of Scouting donations are 100% tax deductible.  Thank you in advance for your generous support and for choosing the Scouting program as an adventure for your family.

Thank you to those who have collected and turned in all of your money. If you have NOT turned your money in, please contact Jamie Prosser (614-561-8729) immediately. Monday’s meeting will be the wrap up and awards. All your money must be turned in to be eligible.

Reminder: Fruit & Greenery Money turn in is Next Monday Night, 12/16 at the church. Have all money in an envelope with the Scout’s name on it.

CHECKS ONLY, NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED!

This is also the Court of Honor, so plan to arrive a few minutes early and drop your money off to Mrs. Prosser and Mrs. Kirkbride before being seated.

This is the last weekend to sell Fruit & Greenery. Forms are due on Monday October 28th at the troop meeting. No late orders will be accepted.

If your son can not attend this meeting, you must make arrangements to get the sales sheets turned in on or before this date.
