Happy Halloween – Meeting Moved to Tue Nov. 1

The troop meeting next week has been changed to Tuesday Nov. 1 at the church. This gives everyone the chance to go Trick or Treating on Monday and enjoy their candy. The meeting on Tuesday Nov. 1 will be planning for the Turkey Shoot.

Also, there is a Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) meeting at the church on Wednesday Nov. 2. It is important for Scouts who are members of the PLC to attend.

Happy Halloween!

Bus Help Needed

We need some help on the bus. Do you have experience or are you willing to learn vinyl seat repair? We have a number of seats that have splits, cracks, or tears and we need to repair these for our upcoming inspection and for the longevity of the seats. Tape repairs are not acceptable for inspection so this will require vinyl kit repairs. We also need to replace a marker light (requires a ladder and running to get the bulb). And last, we need a good cleaning (sweep it out, wipe it down inside, wash it outside).

We need your help, please contact Steve Aspery 614-205-9897 or saspery@darifill.com if you can lend a hand.

Putting in your hour a week for scouting

Gary Meyer at the Camp Lazarus Maple Sugar festival. You will often hear us ask our parent volunteers for “just an hour a week” of their time for scouting. Here’s a picture of our own Gary Meyer giving an “extra” hour at the Maple Sugar festival at Lazarus to help a Cub learn about building a cabin. Have you given your hour to scouting this week?

Troop 365 recognized at 2016 Buckeye District Volunteer Recognition Dinner

This year 3 Scouters from BSA Troop 365 were recognized at the 2016 Buckeye District Volunteer Recognition Dinner — Rob Kemp and Matt Gansl, as a Bridge Builder (a selfless commitment to helping youth be prepared for life through Scouting), and Steve Aspery with the Bronze Award for continuing and exceptional service to Scouting. They are pictured here with their families, a happy time for BSA 365.

Make sure you congratulate these three adults the next time you see them for their commitment to scouting and BSA Troop 365.
