Gilligan Eagle Project – May 18

Joe Gilligan is working on moving sand and gravel Saturday for his Eagle Project. Work starts at 10:00am at the Worthington Fire station on High Street. If you want something to do for a while, he would love the help; bring a pair of work gloves and if you have a shovel to spare, that would be great. You don’t have to give a lot of your time, every little bit helps. Thank you!

Troop Service Project – May 11

River Clean up — 8:45AM at the tennis court parking lot off of West Wilson Bridge Road (the downhill turnoff on the right, just before you get to the curves on the east side of the Olentangy River). Wear gloves, boots, old clothes, and bring water bottle, sack lunch, and a bright cheerful smile.  We usually go until 1PM, depending on the amount of trash along the bike path and surrounding area — it might be earlier.

Wilderness First Aid Course – May 14, 20, 24

Wilderness First Aid Course – Evenings only

This is an advanced First Aid course for scouts and adults who spend time away from civilization (like we all do). You will learn more first aid and also learn how to treat some situations differently when help may be hours or days away. The course includes plenty of hands-on exercises. This is a requirement for Philmont crews and is highly recommended for anyone contemplating backpacking or canoeing treks.

May 14, 20, 24 5:30 – 9:30 PM (you must attend all three sessions)

Cost is $75 (it is usually over $100)

Please contact Mr. Aspery immediately if you are interested at 614-205-9897.
