Church Luminaries

This year we had the greatest turnout for helping with set up and clean up of the luminaries that I can remember. It made the workload lighter for everyone. I would like to thank: Riley Reves, Ryan Cannolly, Will Thompson, Robbie Grimes, Mr. Meyer, Mr. Stempert, Mr. Alsnauer, Tim and Chris McFarland, Ian Cook Mr. Cook, Rafael Bryant Gretchen Paulson Duane Thompson, Ryand Reves, Mr. and Mrs. Sink, Emily and Kallie Sink, and anyone else who helped but I somehow did not get their name down.

I overheard many church members talking about the luminaries. Also, Pastor Garn wanted to thank the troop for making the church look so nice for Christmas.

Thanks,
Kyle Sink

Special Olympics – December 14-15

Special Olympics — Remember: This is mandatory (one or both days) to fulfill your service project hours requirement.

Saturday — Meet at the church parking lot at 9AM; we will return sometime between 5 and 6 PM (depends on how long the swim meet goes).

Sunday — Meet at the church parking lot at 7AM; we will return sometime between 12:30 and 1:30 (depends on how long the swim meet goes).

What to wear — warm clothes for the bus ride down; in the natatorium you will want to wear light clothing — a t-shirt (you should not bring your scout uniform — you will receive a free “volunteer” t-shirt to wear over your other clothing); shorts (the scout switchback pants with the zip off legs are ideal); tennis shoes or flip flops — no boots or hard shoes.

A sack lunch will be provided, but you might bring some cash for the concession stand for snacks. Water and cups will also be provided.

Please plan to attend both days if you have the time.

Webelos Hike – December 7th

Hello Troop 365 & Webelos!

BSA Troop 365 is still looking forward to a great day of hiking with our Scouts and Webelos. The Hocking Hills is beautiful in the winter. This website will be updated by 9PM should our plans be changed. As we are Scouts, please be prepared. Dress warmly, in layers. Footwear must be some sort of hiking boot, smart wool socks and extras should feet get wet. The trails will be blazed by experience hikers. A light day pack would be a good idea as well for a snack & a bottle of water. In the event traveling to the Hocking Hills is prohibited by the weather, the Webelos welcome hike will still happen at a local Metro Park. We’ll see you tomorrow at 7:30AM!
