What: Canoeing!!! Fishing!!! Swimming!!! Anything else done in the water! This will be at the Schmidt’s private farm, with a swimming pond, and other water activities at nearby Pike Lake.
Who: Scouts, Leaders, and Parents – those who want to get wet!
When: Friday, June 22, 2012 – we meet at the Church at 5PM; leave at 5:01PM
Sunday, June 24, 2012 – we return to the Church at 12:30PM
Bring: Scout essentials (see your handbook); other overnight gear (sleeping bag, pad, mess kit, etc.); swimsuit, fishing gear, and your “water safety smarts”!
Cost: $25.00 – covers food and transportation and all activities.

The Summer Court of Honor was tonight. Please congratulate these scouts next time you see them on their well deserved advancements!
What: Clearing invasive plants from Hoover Prairie
Where: Meet at the Hoover (Reservoir) Prairie parking lot, see directions in handout.
Bring: An old long sleeve shirt, an old pair of long pants, boots, work gloves, sack lunch, water bottle (with water), trash bag, another old shirt to change into.
We will be clearing invasive plants from Hoover Prairie, which may include poison ivy among other things. The troop will be bringing soap and warm water, bleach-wipes and anything else that can keep us from getting any ivy rash. You will want to change your shirt when we get done, and discard your old shirt into your trash bag to take it home and wash as well. If not even a pint of prevention will keep you from developing a poison ivy rash, let us know and we will find some other work for you to do.

The list of Eagle Scouts from BSA Troop 365 is growing. John Miller earned his Eagle rank when he passed his Board of Review on May 9, 2012. Make sure that you congratulate John next time you see him.
What: March in the Worthington Memorial Day parade honoring the veterans and serving members of the United States Armed Forces.
Who: Scouts in uniform with good walking shoes.
When: Monday, May 28, 9:30am – 12:00pm
Where: Meet at the eastern edge of Hartford Park.
The Rappelling Spring 2012 outing schedule for May 12th has been cancelled due to lack of participation.
What: Rappelling at Conkles Hollow in the Hocking Hills State Park with our BSA certified Rappel Masters. Come spend the day with us hanging over a cliff on a rope– it doesn’t get any better than that! Complete 13 rappels (6 for the adults) and you earn your Rappel Knot.
Who: Scouts, Leaders, Parents (and even Grandmothers). BSA rules require a parent be present if you are under 14 years old. Parents are welcome to rappel but not required.
When: Saturday, May 12, 2012 – leave the Church at 6AM and return approximately 4PM.
Bring: Leather work gloves, long pants, boots, water bottle. You will also need to pack your own lunch. Eat breakfast before you come. Dress in layers and appropriately for the weather.
