Canoe Canada 2018

INFORMATION MEETING – Monday, December 18, 2017 @ 7:00 PM at the church

What: Canoeing for 5 days in the Canadian Boundary waters. This is the most isolated trip our troop undertakes. Beautiful scenery, paddling, navigation, bald eagles every day, fishing (and eating).

When:
Depart Worthington June 15, 2018 @ 6 PM
Return Worthington June 24, 2018 @ 6 PM

Cost: approximately $700 includes transportation, canoes, and food.

Payment Schedule
January 30, 2018 – $100 (you must commit and pay by this date)
March 1, 2018 – $250
May 1, 2018 – $350

Philmont 2019

INFORMATION MEETING – Monday December 18, 2017

What: Backpacking 12 days in the mountains of Northern New Mexico at the Philmont Scout Ranch. There will be activities along the way such as black powder rifles, rock climbing, spar pole climbing, challenge events, burro racing, fishing, mountain biking, and many more.

When:
Depart Worthington Thursday evening (7 PM) June 20, 2019
Return Worthington Saturday morning (8 AM) July 6, 2019

Cost: $1,650 includes transportation, and everything at Philmont. Does not include meals on the trip out and back or souvenirs.

Payment Schedule
January 15, 2018 – $200 (you must commit and pay by this date)
August 1, 2018 – $500
November 1, 2018 – $500
February 1, 2019 – $450

All payments are non-refundable except in the case of injury (reason must be accepted by Philmont).

There are scholarships available, applications will be available in October of 2018.
