Interested in the 2013 BSA National Jamboree in West Virginia?
Here’s a meeting you might want to attend. The troops for the Simon Kenton Council for the 2013 National Jamboree (July 15 – 24, 2013) are almost full! This Jamboree will be the first at the new Summit site and is sure to be a great experience. Both Boy Scouts and (for the first time) Venturers can attend! (Boy Scouts must be 12 and First Class by July 15, 2013. Venturers must be valid registered members of a Crew of Sea Scout Ship). You can learn more at http://www.bsajamboree.com. The council is holding an organizing/informational meeting on Sunday, May 6, 2012, 2-4 p.m. at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, 3960 Brookham Drive, Grove City, OH 43123.

The Spring Court of Honor was tonight. Please congratulate these scouts next time you see them on their well deserved advancements!
What: Crawling on your belly like a snake through a dark hole in the earth; working on scouting skills for those too young to crawl too far and those who want to show off their skills in front of the younger guys; did we say fishing? This is a private cave system in southern Kentucky.
Who: Scouts, Leaders, and Parents-those who want to crawl! We will also need older scouts and adults who will not be caving to help with the scout skills and fishing!
